We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
Listening to Talksport last night on way home from the match.
I was amazed to hear the pathetic crap coming from WH fans. One pratt even suggesting that referees had decided to gang up on us to prevent us from getting into the top 4 or winning the cup.
Another idiot asking why we did not get a bit of luck and the linesman not flagging offside for the disallowed goal. Sure we have had some dodgy decisions lately but then shouldn't Payet have gone off at Old Trafford and Carroll was a bit fortunate to stay on against Arsenal.
We lost last night because the best team won so stop sounding like wingeing Totts and grow up.

But it's not about "1 or 2 bad decisions" is it?
We've had 3 wrongly given red cards rescinded this season for a start
We've had 2 penalties wrongly given against us for fouls proved to be committed outside the area
We sit at the bottom of the league for incorrect decisions against us
There is every right to moan
Even Bilic (who definitely isn't a Spurs fan) has moaned about it
Manu beat us fair & square on Wednesday night & I thought the officials were good & fair, which is what we should expect of the officials in every game
I'm no Johnny-come-lately Irons fan. I've supported West Ham over more than 50 years, so hardly expect us to win every game!
I'm not convinced about a conspiracy theory either
Some referees are good, some poor, some (possibly unintentionally ) biased, & possibly, just possibly some are corrupt
We all have our opinions on which referees we can trust

I really hate the moaners about moaners about moaners, they remind me of the People's Front of Judea or is that the Judean People's Front?

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
This post is spot on. I have noticed this Billy Big Bollocks attitude of its our right to win growing in our ranks for a little while now. I fear it will only get worse when we are at the OS. With our ranks swollen by a host of "new" supporters with unrealistic expectations.

As I told two younger fans (late teens) last night on the way back from the game. If you think your world has just collapsed it just means you haven't been going longer enough.

Last night we weren't that good (neither were Man U) and we got beat. Be upset and get over it.

Agree with the old geezer, we've had 1 or 2 bad decisions but there is no conspiracy against us, we were not good enough last night, that's why we lost.

Last night we got what we deserved because we were shit most the game. It's just a pity the previous 4 matches we didn't get what we deserved ..which was to win all of them instead of draws because of utterly terrible game changing decisions against us. 3 or which against 'big' clubs.

It's the first time I ever remember feeling like this . And coincides with us genuinely challenging for the champions league first time in history. Do you honestly blame what some fans are thinking ?

We should and on another day could have had at least one penalty. 3 decent shouts and no one could have complained if any were given.

I agree entirely with your post but would like to add what has the game come to when you are presented with a decent, unbiased refereeing performance (which should be a minimum requirement really in the richest, most popular league in the world) and it comes as a genuine surprise?

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
I had no problems with the officials last night as they were probably the best/fairest we've had all season

We shouldn't have been playing a replay though as the officials made some massive blunders in the 1st game at OT. Their goal should not have stood since Schweinsteiger was not only offside (& clearly interfering with play) but also blatently fouling Randolph. In the same match video replays show clear contact on Payet in the box & as the pundits say "had every right to go down". The referee M Atkinson (who incidently I believe is our best referee, & very honest) was obviously undecided, therefore gave neither a penalty nor a 2nd yellow card to Payet

Throughout the season & in particular in the last 4/5 matches (excluding last nights match) there have been so many very dubious decisions given against us that people have every right to question whether or not there is some sort of conspiracy taking place

We have had incorrect red card decisions, incorrect offside calls, 2 penalties given for fouls outside the box, just in the last 5 matches

All that against a possible red card for Carroll against Arsenal (which I think he was lucky to escape)

Then again I think McCarthy should have received a red card (& a lengthy ban) for his assault on Payet. Not only that but Martinez should have been hauled before the FA for the conduct of his players

Re: We are beginning to sound like Spurs fans
Aren't we BOTTOM of the league for wrong decisions against us?

Yes we were a bit shit last night but once again had no luck, 3 decent penalty appeals, I thought Payet's was a penalty at least. The other two also could have been given on another day.
The offside was correct but again we have had one or two of those close offsides given for the oppo this season and had at least 2 legitimate goals for us ruled offside this season.

We are due a bit of luck for sure.

I also think that by choosing to support Spurs means automatically that you are not a human being.
